About US

Established in 2004

Welcome to Springfield Primary School

Since opening its doors in 2004 with just 72 Grade 1 and 2 learners, Springfield has grown into a respected institution, recognized not only within the Ntabankulu community but across South Africa.

Founded by Mrs. N. Zondi-Majeke, who also served as the first principal, the school expanded in 2005 with the introduction of Grade R, laying a strong foundation for early learning. By 2009, we proudly celebrated our first Grade 7 graduates, marking a major milestone in our journey.

As enrolment grew, our rented space became too small, leading us to build six new classrooms and acquire two Wendy classrooms. In 2010, we moved into our new and larger premises, providing a more conducive learning environment. Four years later, in 2014, we proudly celebrated Springfield’s 10th anniversary in education.

Now, with over 450 learners and 20 years of dedication and growth, Springfield continues to thrive, staying true to its vision of academic excellence and holistic development. Our journey is one of resilience, progress, and unwavering commitment to shaping the future.
